I used to have this too often…Trying to be productive and focused but end up not sure what to do…
The worst part is, I used to be like this because of a guy…
Now, if you’re in my shoes, that’s sad. I hate it when a guy gets in my head like this. Or when it becomes a lonely thing is why you’re not productive…

Here’s 3 ways I become productive again

1. Workout!

I think this is a great idea. For one, working out in general has its own benefits. But when you put in productivity in there, it’s like it just helps it move along. I tend to work out in the morning because it’s the best time to get going. I hate waking up in the morning but once I start actually stretching and working out, I get so energized and ready to get going with my day! I remember the first day I actually worked out with a trainer, he pushed me hard in the beginning and I really think that’s what got me so pumped and energized. After an hour and a half, I went home. Once I got home, though, I had the craziest energy. Literally, like I just drank an energy drink… I knew with this energy, I didn’t get my full workout potential in because I still had so much left to do. I could have gone at least another half hour of workouts but he had to leave. I ended up just dancing at home with all this energy… I think for me, the hardest thing was to transform all that physical energy into mental energy. Since it was physical energy, I could be productive physically, but when it came to sitting at the computer (which is what I wanted to do), I knew I wasn’t going to be able to sit… So I just let loose. I enjoyed the rush as it came.
If you’re feeling unproductive, wherever you are (home, work, outside, inside), just do this… stretch first. Then do some cardio medium paced workouts (squats, lunges, planks). BREATHE during these and drink water. Go get your day going! Remember the more consistent, the more it’s a habit (good/ bad consistency turns into goo/bad habit). The more active, the more productive your body wants to be!

– Jack LaLanne, bodybuilder known as the “Godfather of Fitness”

2. Just do it.

This is such a simple thing to say. I guess it can be harder to do in reality. But if you’re working on the computer, when you’re not focused, it’s easy to get side tracked. I do it all the time, but when I really want to be productive, I only have the things I need to work on open. Once I have those tabs open, I allow myself to start a little at a time. I say that because if I’m not already ready to work, I get unfocused easily. By allowing myself to JUST DO IT for a brief amount of time, creates a good habit within myself. It allows my mind to be ok with working a little at a time versus not at all and stressing about it. By actually just doing something was the beginning of the entire trip to my ability to even focus at all. Having a mindset is important, being consistent is next. But continuing to stay focused is the ultimate goal. Once you lose focus, you lose the rest… Getting into the habit just takes time again and the only way to get it back is to start the same way you started the first time. I’m not going to lie, I didn’t even expect to be writing this today, but like all the good things that come, this is just another step toward being productive and just doing it. So embrace it. Let it happen. Don’t force something that’s not a want to do so in the first place.
Now, if you would like a little more motivation, just watch this once and then when you need to thereafter…

3. Drink an energy drink…

Now this isn’t my go-to. It is my number 3 way of being productive because it has worked in the past when I needed it. But once you get on the habit of being productive, you don’t need to rely on energy that’s not natural to get you going. The habit itself will drive you mentally and as long as you don’t lose it, it can be gained again. It’s always the hardest when you just never had it. There is only one energy drink I drink when I needed it…
productive
Now I’m not promoting this drink to get money out of you, I used to promote it but not anymore. I still love the products I just don’t like promoting physical products.
If you’re interested, read up on it, there’s two versions of the drink. I drink the second.
The reason I’m promoting this drink is because it helped me to get out of depression. I went into depression because of a guy (stupid but true) and this drink literally gave me the boost I needed to start being productive and get out of my personal shell. I am truly thankful for this product as I know it just would have taken a bit longer to get out of my phunk, otherwise. If you’re like me, you might be super sensitive to caffeine… well a little of this goes a long way then. The first version of it actually has less caffeine but I ended up sticking to the second (don’t remember why)… Just be careful not to drink a lot too fast if you are sensitive… pace yourself. I actually was never a fan of Monster and Red Bull so I was thoroughly happy to be promoting this and still am. This is the only energy drink I still drink if I drink one at all. It’s rare, but I did drink it yesterday to get me out of a phunk and it helped. I didn’t finish the can since I knew I was going to be sensitive to it considering I don’t drink caffeine. I also drink coffee because it gets me jittery, sweaty, and paranoid. This drink if anything, just gets me really energized and sweaty, but thankfully not paranoid. Also, the crash doesn’t happen like the other energy drinks… it’s subtle. So I hope this alternative helps if you decide to go this route or have been.
